So this $7500 is additional to the federal $7500 rebate?

The state has a $7500 rebate until the money runs out. The feds have a $7500 tax credit until 200,000 Rivian vehicles are sold.

I think something is wrong with my order summary..

It shows $0.00 vehicle sales tax applied for MA and $4,775.00 for Sales tax due to IL.

Can someone else who purchased in MA tell me if this sounds right?

This is how mine appears too. I'm hoping this doesn't cause issue when I go to register. Since I am doing a plate swap they're going to have me register the car myself.

Unfortunately it looks like this can't be done at a AAA because it's an out of state sale.

I'm doing a plate swap too. I won't have an EV plate for now.. but with all the issues with temp plates I thought this would be easier.

My ev plates came very quickly. Purchased 6/6 (delivered 6/13) plates arrived 6/15.

This depends on Rivian figuring out how to do insurance in MA... So far they haven't been able to provide the needed documents to my insurance company.

They finally got mine squared away today. Once you are dealing with the Chelsea folks they seem to understand what has to happen.

Mine was similar. When you register in MA, you need a form that says that you’re exempt from sales tax because it’s transferred from IL. Rivian registered it for me, but the form they had me sign is MVU-29: Affidavit in Support of a Claim for Exemption from Sales or Use Tax for a Motor Vehicle Purchased Outside of Massachusetts
