On the twisty mountain roads of my commute, I do switch to stiff suspension for the steering feel.
Really curious (may be in a year or two) about the tire condition for R1s that spend a lot of time in sport mode in twistiest. Low center of gravity may help drivers not feel the weight but I bet tires do. I currently drive a sport car that is only 3000 Ib. I may have to learn to behave with R1S.

This also seems to imply that Rivian doesn't think there is any difference between the different 20" wheels
Good observation. I'm still flipping between the 20" All-Terrain and All-Terrain "Bright" on the R1S but now that it seems the performance difference is negligible I guess it will just be based on looks.

Still doesn't make the choice any easier!

Oh very nice! I’m still under a thousand miles and at 1.91. Hopefully mine gets up in the 2’s after some less spirited driving.
Looking at this dudes screen on his minI (5.9 mi/KWh) makes me wonder what is the best we can get out of R1. I think we will see 400 mile range coming out of someone’s large pack at some point. If no one has done it by the time I get mine, I will make it my mission to make it happen. It would be slightly over 3 mi/KWh.

My current guess-o-meter has me at 360 mi. (252 @ 70% SoC) on 20" ATs.

Some of the 21 guys may have already seen 400 but I don’t think there are too many 21s out there to pitch in.

Lol! How accurate is the display? And do you have to drive like a granny in your previous drive to get an estimate like that?

Coming from a Tesla, the range indicator is just based on epa efficiency, so it doesn’t fluctuate up or down (and it’s almost always too optimistic)

I drive like normal, but the estimate seems to go up every day. It definitely isn't 100% accurate but does seem to continually indicate better range day-over-day.

Is this an anomaly? Or are the OTAs that effective on range

No. It was always designed to be adaptive. It just needs enough miles to seed the algorithm (I'd guess 2000-2500). I was at 195 miles @ 70% before the adaptation began.

I see, are you gentle on your driving?
