I have a crazy idea, give everyone the option to pick up at the factory. That would speed deliveries up.

Rivian is under pressure to increase production numbers. The stock is at an all time low of just over $30.

I don’t mean this to be snarky, but IG Stories only last 24hrs. That’s how they work.

Talked to my guide today and he has a spreadsheet of the vehicles ready to go there in Normal.

There were some with the underbody shield and either the 21 or 22" wheels. Not sure of the sense in that, when they have my config (Mar/Apr window) but without the shield (which I definitely want). Ugh.

He ultimately found one that would be my 3rd choice of color, but doesn't have the spare. He said that'd come in a few months. Have to decide what to do. No way I'm wheeling without a spare, but at least I'd have my truck.

Yeah dude, you definitely know more about distribution and delivery going on at Rivian than Rivian themselves does, said some guy named Jeff from CA!

I don’t think I said anything about knowing automotive distribution.
Rivian appears to be in the same position they were at the end of Q1. I would bet this quarter, the produce twice as many vehicles as what they can deliver. They have issues getting final deliveries to customers.

Dumb question here. From an investor / corporate financial perspective, is there a tangible difference between a preorder holder and a preorder holder with a signed PBA? I ask this because maybe this is the reason we're seeing an uptick in guide contacts and PBAs being signed. If PBAs are more legally binding than a preorder alone, does it somehow look better on the balance sheet?

Also, optimists perspective: maybe the lot these pictures were taken on is only for R1Ts/EDVs and there's a separate lot on-site where Marlboro Man couldn't get to because Paul Blart Golf Cart Cop was giving him a chase out of the plant? Context is key

Of course, I personally think these are just the normal amount that are at that stage of the delivery process.

Technically, whatever is at that plant is Normal.

I would not say meaningless as they help to gauge interest. I’m sure IPO would have been lower without the 180k of reservations between R1s and EDVs.

I do agree it is more important to show performance against guidance for past QTR and guidance for future.
