I am a woman who is a very early adopter of this very first ET (electric truck). I am a Senior and have always had trucks to pull my trailers. My current ride is a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with the Duramax Diesel Engine. My husband, Brian, does most of the posting here on the Rivian Forums, but I am the one who ordered the R1T.

I personally feel discussions about almost every topic are more interesting and more productive with a diverse group of people. Yes, we are probably more squirrelly here than at a forum like Rivian Stories, but I like squirrels and I like this forum because it’s full of smart and funny people.

Right now we have 2.

So I just need to pull a two horse trailer locally to get to trails etc. no long hauling.

Back in the 1980's I owned and operated an Arabian horse farm, Carriage House Arabians, (showing/breeding) in Petersham, MA. I miss the smell of the hay/molasses grain in the morning and the prancing of the young stations while taking them out to the paddocks for exercise.

That sounds like a lot of work! But I also love the sounds and smells having horses around. It's the best.

Yes, it was. And I don't recall having any holiday for ten years where I wasn't at some horse show somewhere. It was a rough life, but there are times when I still miss it.

My wife isn't here but she independently proposed buying the R1T after seeing it in person at the Seattle preview event in 2019, and even switched her preference from S to T after seeing them in person.

Admittedly, I have a bit of a reputation for indulging gimmicky purchases in our family; her exact offer was "If I pay for half of a Rivian, will you promise not to buy or talk about the Cybertruck ever again?"

I'd already reserved the Rivian figuring I was flying solo and that I had a couple years to practice my explanation/apology, so I was ready to sign before she even finished the sentence ?

My first car was in the movie, Get Shortie. 1978 Volvo 242DL. I loved that car. Bought it used for $1900!

Another female R1T purchaser here! Not quite middle-aged yet so I might be a minority around here, but have been interested in the R1T since it was first announced and finally worked up the nerve to drop a deposit in April 2020 after selling an investment property. I have pretty much only owned/driven pickup trucks since I got my driver's license, and my current truck is a mid-size GMC Canyon so I expect the R1T to be comparable (at least in size, I doubt the GMC will hold a candle to the R1T in terms of capability!)

I currently have a May/June delivery window and cannot wait, especially with the current cost of gas in northern CA!

I drove past a beautiful young lady in an equally beautiful blue R1T in Newport Beach by Hoag hospital a couple of weeks ago. We waved at each other with excitement of having seen another R1T in the wild during the initial release. We need a local GTG soon.

My wife handles all of the Instagram and Facebook pages, I take care of the forum! The R1S will replace her Expedition and be her daily driver. We are both equally excited...and our four little kids as well. Can't wait to get ours.

On a side note, I don't think my dog gives a damn! ?
