When RJ raised prices, I bolted. When RJ rescinded prices, I came back into the fold. Just went to Rivian.com and my order is still not showing as being back in the system. I promptly used the chat tool and found out my order is in their system but not showing up online. How many of you have the same experience? Also, with the 25000 total limit, how many of your believe your "delivery date" is still the same? Love to hear.

They're still working on it. Only immediate orders have been restored (i'm assuming manually).

I tend to be hopefully that they had captured the 25k production for the year when they sent out production estimates in December. But who knows.

My Rant:

I'm just tired of their evasiveness. I got on chat today as well, and just plain vanilla answer "Soon". I asked how come people who ordered after me are getting their deliveries. Answer was "it is all dependant on your order date???"... I challenged that, so she said "It's also based on your location"... then I said I'm in Seattle.... and finally she says "Soon, don't worry".

I don't like the evasiveness in answering the timeline questions.

My configuration has not been rolled back yet but my delivery window is not until Jul-Sep 2022.

CS assures me that currently my delivery window has not changed. I want to believe that the existing delivery windows are based on the current delivery estimates but I am having a hard time understanding how my place in line went from around 45,000th to around 12,000th. Yes I know delivery is based on location/configuration/pre-order date. I live in the little known state of ID so location is working against me.

45,000th was estimated by date of pre-order (3/21/2021) and reported pre-orders at that time. KEEP in mind that pre-orders did not include EDVs.

12,000th is estimated from current projection of a total of 25,000 in 2022 THAT ALSO INCLUDES EDVs!!!!. Hence if Rivian sticks to their commitment to Amazon then subtract the 10,000 EDVs from 25,000 and you have 15,000 R1s for 2022.

My estimate of revised delivery is 1H2023 from Jul-Sep 2022. This includes some pessimism regarding continued supply issues.

FWIW I think Rivian is doing the best they can under the circumstances. It would be more logical and accurate to direct flame outs and frustrations for delays at current world wide events, which are out of Rivian’s control.

Conversely, Cadillac is beginning production of the Lyriq earlier than expected and they revealed over 220K people are "interested" in the Lyriq. In addition, they said May 19 they are open for orders. I'm planning on ordering one as I've stated many times. the first one between Rivian, Fisker and Cadillac that delivers win$.

Rivian had 48k preorders as of September 30, 2021. If you pre-ordered in March 2021, you are definitely not as far back as 45k, especially since the September 30, 2021 number came after the media started releasing the glowing positive reviews of the R1T.

Not saying your delivery window won't change (CS likely does not have access to such information), but I think you're placing yourself farther back in line than reality, especially since Rivian isn't building based strictly on order number.

You're definitely not 45k in line. I ordered Feb 2021 and by all things I could find, I was in the 25k range most likely. Also keep in mind, even if you are 45k, that's split among R1T and R1S as well as Adventure/Explore options. So even if you placed your order at 45k, if you're an R1T Adventure package, you're likely more realistically 20k in line.

I hope you are right!

Time will tell.
