Gonna sleep on it, but pretty sure they lost me too. Almost $18K increase - practically 20%. Real low life move by Rivian.
This was definitely coming. Everyone is facing pricing pressure. Unreasonable to think a price of something ordered in 2018 would stay flat into 2023. They have enough demand to do even more price increases over next year or so and still keep factory humming. Will likely limit flippers as the “profit” will be a bigger gamble.

Guess I'll be out as well. My R1T went from $81k to $93k and that is without now the tonneau. Simply unacceptable. 3 years in waiting; hoping for the May-June delivery window and informed today of this steal.

Any chance there can be a social media campaign to try to get this done?
I know some people are saying not to change your config or aren't changing theirs, but the two things that will get noticed are massive config changes and cancellations. Money talks.

Personally, I think a bare ones R1T at ~$70k is still a decent value in today's market but I understand others who don't agree.

I just looked at my configuration and there is no price increase showing for mine (yet). My R1S delivery estimation is July.

If you're shorting Rivian stock, you're going to have a very good day tomorrow.

I had an early F150 Lightning reservation that I cancelled with the intent of buying an R1T. I'm beyond livid. I can see that there are A LOT of people that had a lot of good will and extreme patience towards this company. RJ basically spat on them today.

I'm pissed enough to order a Ram TRX and blame all my future carbon emissions on RJ.

I'd imagine there are probably some backroom deals where folks paid $10k+ to bump up their spot in line, only to still get hit with these MASSIVE price increases. :CWL: I laugh because they can still afford it.
