Good step by step, thanks for taking the time to create it.

How are you handling the wheel size change in the infotainment? I had Rivian service change my wheels/tires from 22” to 20” last summer and they couldn’t figure out how to change the info to reflect the change. So my truck still claims I’m rolling around on the 22”, instead of 20”. All OEM wheels/tires, not aftermarket.

Rivian service wants to charge me $200 to make the update to the vehicle information. Mind you, Rivian service did all the work. And yes, it has been 6+ months now of trying to get this sorted out.

Good video, but I wish someone would show how they do it without a full size spare. Everyone always says be safe, use jack stands, but I still haven't seen a video showing jack stand placement on a Rivian or how they lift both jack points with one jack (I don't think you can get a jack stand under a puck)

Also, not showing a full rotation without a full sized spare. I assume you jack up the sides, swap the sides, then jack up the front and swap the fronts?

Is it just me, or does it seem like the width of one of the wheels is not enough to catch the truck if the jack fails, i.e., the bare disc in the wheel well will hit the ground before the frame of the car hits the tire.

And can the tire/wheel really take the force of 3000lbs crashing down on it sideways?

They make a jack-stand/Jack combo units, I picked up a couple to do my tire rotations. There are a few different ones out there but work well.

At this time, the wheel size in infotainment is not editable by the end user (like it is in Tesla). Rivian service does the change.

That said, understand the change is of minimal importance - as far as we know, it only effects the remaining range prediction calculation....which generally can be inaccurate anyway. Plus, the infotainment is going to be based around factory wheels and their impact on range, not aftermarket wheels.

So...we never mess with changing it.

The 'tire diameter' is more important, as it impacts mph calculations. That doesn't change much (% wise, so it's also not a big concern.

Yes, the wheel will most certainly support a vehicle dropping 10 inches down on it. Wheels are incredibly tough, as evident when running into curbs. Even when they break, they do not shatter entirely.

What jack would you recommend? What is the max Tonage and the Saddle High Height needed?

Thanks.

I did buy it from you but it does not work. It will not keep the pressure. Not happy
Did you tighten the valve screw using the handle? If it isn't holding, that valve is not tight enough. Give it another try, but use the tool handle to crank it tight. You can't just finger tighten the valve. If any issues, we can swap it out!
