DHL piloting Rivian RDV delivery vans?

I would be more wondering if the Brightdrop works better in certain markets being that its AWD, and the EDV is not...

Eventually Rivian may offer it in a AWD dual motor platform, but as of now, and for the foreseeable future, it will be dual motor front wheel drive only.

I have it on good authority that the very first one was a quad motor AWD version. A one-off for Jeff, absolutely, but shows it can be done if one is willing to pay for it.

I suspect most large fleets are going to do small scale trials of all of the different options. They'll run those trials for a while before placing a massive order with a single preferred vendor.
At least that's how the companies I've worked for would do things.

Other companies are using them too. Canada Post, Tire Rack, MEVCO and they are supplying driveline parts to chassis makers.

Your statement has an error, if it is dual motor (I believe that all EDVs are now equiped with the Enduro motor) it would be all wheel drive. I believe you meant single motor front wheel drive.

You both are correct.
1 Enduro = 1 Drive unit, therefore 2 motors = AWD
2 Bosch = 1 Drive unit, therefore 2 motors = 2WD

I think seeing Rivian DHL vans would be really cool.
Honestly, I would just update the DHL logo in a corporate rebranding effort. I would also update the color of yellow just slightly till they land on one that's more pleasant. I bet it would end up being a softer more upbeat shade. Then I would get that updated branding on THIS awesome van. Perhaps with "cute" green wheels and a dual color paint scheme. Now we're thinking DHL is cool compared to Fedex, UPS, and USPS. That could work for them.
I think these sales would inch Rivian closer to positive margins on the van.
