From a heads up from @SeaGeo First Mile event in the DC area is happening. Check your profile for a calendar icon (it did not show up for me, but maybe you)
Yeap i asked CS the same and they said they will try and add it to my account. I guess May 2019 is not considered too early but got damn throw me some slack! LOL
I checked with CS as well and they said the invitations had not gone out, but LE reservation holders would get priority if you were in the designated radius. But they didn't know what that radius was.
I just chatted with CS and basically was told invites just started going out and the system automatically sends invites to LE holders first and then other orders based on radius of the event. So basically cross your fingers and continue to Know nothing lol

3/11/2022, 6:48:35 PM - Me: Hi Kyle
------
3/11/2022, 6:49:20 PM - Me: A friend of a friend who is also a reservation holder told me that there will be a first mile event in the DC area and I am hoping to find out more and donate whatever organ is required to get on the test-drive list.
------
3/11/2022, 6:50:32 PM - Me: Preferably an organ I have a spare of...
------
3/11/2022, 6:51:44 PM - Kyle: Im sorry to inform you We will only be accepting livers.
------
3/11/2022, 6:51:48 PM - Kyle: haha
------
3/11/2022, 6:51:52 PM - Me: LOL
------
3/11/2022, 6:52:01 PM - Me: I had a feeling it was going to be one of those chats
------
3/11/2022, 6:52:55 PM - Kyle: Lol I'll make sure to leave a note for our demo drive team to see if there's an opportunity to get you a demo drive in that area!
------
3/11/2022, 6:53:31 PM - Kyle: and make sure your signed up here because this is the list they typically reach out to with First Mile and demo drive opportunities!
------
3/11/2022, 6:53:32 PM - Kyle: https://rivian.com/connect/tell-us-more
------
3/11/2022, 6:54:35 PM - Me: Got it. I think I am signed up there but I will double check. I am literally 2 miles from DC. Also, please let the demo team know that I am not picky and that I can be very quiet and hide in the R1T truck bed for the demo drive as long as I am provided snacks.
------
3/11/2022, 6:55:02 PM - Me: If necessary, I can bring my own snacks.
------
3/11/2022, 6:58:40 PM - Kyle: Also, I do know that our Demo Drive team sends out invitations in batches, so even if you weren't invited to this event you will be invited to one in the future. Now that we relaunched our First Mile event and COVID isn't holding those back any more we plan to have them consistently. So no need to sell you kidney our stock pile snacks, we are gonna get you that opportunity to get behind the wheel!
------
3/11/2022, 6:59:36 PM - Me: Fantastic! Thank you Kyle. Appreciated the chat today. Have a great evening. I'll keep my liver in top top shape, just in case.

3/11/2022, 7:00:30 PM - Kyle: Thanks for the laughs, have a great weekend!

I know I'm out of range to expect an invite, but I was considering going down for the March 19th Go Electric event in Rockville where one was going to be on static display. Looks like the test drives are the same week, which probably isn't a coincidence. For anyone in the area with an invite, I'll make the first shameless plea to be your backseat rider you are allowed to bring to the test drive. ?
I have no idea if they are handling the test drives in the DC area the same as they are around Denver, but there seems to be no logical plan for who gets invited. Not proximity to the service center, not oldest reservations first. The best plan to actually get a drive scheduled seemed to be to repeatedly contact CS until someone takes pity on your soul and gets you on the schedule.
