Back to? Did we ever move away from it?Are we back to S00N?
Which soon is this? Like saying at dawn that the sun is going to rise soon, soon? Or like Rivian telling me my R1S is coming soon, soon?RJ tweeted a response to a comment about Rivian’s lack of dashcam.

It doesn’t record you, it records others, so if someone causes an accident you have video evidence of it. No arguing with insurances, the other driver(s) or their lawyers.I'm curious why people need/want the dashcam so bad? I never found a use case for it in my Tesla, didn't want to be recorded, and always turned it off. But I'd love to hear from others the utility of it and why it's a requested feature.

The Algorithm God sent me down a YouTube hole of dashcam videos... I walked away wondering how I ever drove without it. It's insurance against hit & runs, insurance scams, people claiming they had the green light/you cut them off, and other situations where things could get down to "he said, she said". I got one for my Ioniq 5, but I did turn off the camera in the cabin... I figure it could only ever catch me picking my nose, yelling at my kids, or reading this forum.I'm curious why people need/want the dashcam so bad? Between myself and family and the few accidents we have been involved in, we have had 3 different accidents over the years, where the others were at fault, and they completely lied about the circumstances of the accident. One who hit my wife in rear bumper at a stop light, actually left scene and when they found him at his house, he said she backed into him at the grocery store and he was just being cool and told her don't worry about it. Luckily he had lengthy record and thry believed my wife. But there are an amazing number of people nowadays willing to lie...cheat...steal...you name it.I'm curious why people need/want the dashcam so bad?
