Charlotte NC RAN Coming Live Sooon

I just went by the REI in Charlotte Northlake Shopping Center and noticed that the Rivian chargers have been installed but have not been turned on. They have been working on these RAN units for months, and it shouldn't be long before they are online.

My understanding for RAN in TX is 1) SA then 2) Centerville. Wasn't told what is next in line for Texas RAN. Maybe the austin location?

As someone who is tracking this RAN location for its opening. The signs have gone up from couple days ago. Will they turned on for this weekend ?

One thing I've definitely noticed is that there is not a ton of consistency as far as where the chargers are relative to the spot lines. These are fairly far right. Some other stations have been built with the pedestals much further left. I wonder if that's experimentation or just inconsistencies with contractors or site requirements?

This has take what, 8 months or more? I just wish it was on the south side near 74 for travel across NC. The North side is out of the way. Not a great choice as far as location.

If you live on the North Side of Charlotte, why would you even care about where a RAN fast charger is in Charlotte when you can charge at home?

I visit that plaza quite frequently, so why not top up while I can.

FWIW though, I’m sure it’s because it is an REI location.
