Got my vin last night. It is in the 5400’s for those curious where they are at. Email came 7:22pm central time. Day 1 reservation with a lease expiring in about 3 weeks.

Hmmm...We placed our order on July 29th and were assigned a VIN in the upper 2400's the next day. We're Glacier White with 20's...I wonder if they just did a big batch of them and are now working through delivering them.

Yes - And that's what's making me wonder how I'm getting one of the first 2,500 units when they've produced twice that many.

perhaps your spec isn't being ordered as much.

That's my hope...And that it's not a VIN that had so many problems that it went back to the factory for a month. Oh well...I have a SC (Malvern PA) that's just an hour away and I've spent a considerable amount of time there with our R1S. I love the brand enough to continue paying the "Early Adopter Tax."

My thoughts as well, but who knows? Perhaps they knocked out 500 Glacier Whites with 20's in one run...

I’ve had a 2300 vin for a month. They have only delivered about 1500-1800 at this point. Most of the vehicles have just been sitting around due to rail bottlenecks.

That’s only a rumor. Numbers oft-quoted were anywhere from 50k on up.

From experience we know most reservations do not convert into orders. Also some will hold off for the standard model. Rivian should sell the 100k units next year without too much trouble.
