Love to see this on road tires before I get mine. Trying to stop/control 7000 Ib on the bottom of the hill on this kinda surface is something many of us may have to do sooner or later. Rivian should show the difference between the tires performance so folks can make an educated decision.

Me watching a video of a white R1T: Wow. That's nice. I should configure mine to be white.

Me watching a video of a blue R1T: Wow. That's nice. I should configure mine to be blue.

Repeat.

Wish there was some indication of its "performance" in that test... say in comparison to that Subie.

Usually it's 'Disclaimer: Professional Driver on Closed Course' but in this case, might want to throw an 'un' in there...

Not that I expect I'll be much better the first time I'm in an EV on snow like this. Pretty sure I'd tear that up in my Defender without any problem though. Snow-related offroading has always been one of my favorites and I've been doing it since I was a kid, though. Given how weird it felt when I did a first mile (not the R1T, just driving an EV for the first time at all) I'm guessing there's an adjustment period.

You really need a comparison against a known. Watch the youtube video of a Jeep Wrangler vs. a Porsche 911 4S coupe on a timed course with 7 inches deep of snow, ice chunks, and slush on the ground. Surprisingly, the sports car ties the time of the Wrangler. I would like to see the Suburu vs the R1T, as the Subaru's are known to have a great 4 wheel drive system on snow. I am buying my R1T to handle my limited seasonal use road in the Georgian Bay area, with often a foot of unplowed snow.
