Video of R1T in offroad recovery training class

I came across this video of Bill Burke's R1T doing some soft terrain wash crossings. I think the biggest takeaway is that cooper mud terrains work great!

Is the guy on brakes all the time? Notice the lights.

I'm more interested in the rack, it looks like they removed stock mounting points and bolted it directly to the frame.

A member of the forum was actually in that class and said Bill’s R1T also has prototype Rivian rock sliders on it.

Yes that was me in the class a few months ago. The bed rack was made by a local company called cageworks. The driver (instructor) was probably using a 2 foot driving technique to maintain a more constant load to help with control and not let the unloaded tires spin up so quick.

Also this class is done in an area that is open to cross country travel, so roaming like in the video is allowed.

I’m sure everyone here would love that. Just be ready for the onslaught of questions - it would be like a feeding frenzy! Also Rivian might or might not want Bill putting that out there yet. If I were them I think that is the type of publicity that money can’t buy. No real downside to it.

I believe it happens out in @JeremyP’s neck of the woods near Grand Junction CO. Similar terrain there as in Moab. Amazing place to visit. Near a bunch of Colorado wineries!

Where'd you get them?

I thought those front tires were going to start ripping into those front fenders at some point
