Yeah that's my bigger takeaway as well. Hopefully he spends a couple of minutes interacting with customers more frequently since nobody else ar Rivian is apparently allowed to preview what's coming.

First place I took my current truck off-roading (that probably deserves quotes - it’s not that hard if you are paying attention) was Pismo Beach. I’d planned on recreating that experience (with the pics!) when my R1T shows up. My daughter had her permit, and I let her thrash it around in the dunes. Can’t wait!

I'm probably biased given my location...but I think snow mode is a more important feature to roll out

Either way, good to see that they plan to OTA more driving modes.

Glad to see sand mode coming. First offroading I did in my Defender was at some dunes in eastern WA and definitely want to take the Rivian out there to see how it does. Got the Defender stuck several times that day, but I bet the Rivian handles it better.

+1 for also wanting Snow mode to come soon, even tho it'll be another few months before we start re-accumulating snow up in the passes.

You won't be able to use the Sand Mode along the "Ocean Coast" until late this year.
