Hey team,

Posted a few videos of recent adventures with the Rivian. Take a look and let me know what you think.

We’ve got big ambitions for the channel, so follow along if you want to see more.

One of my all-time favorite trails. Apparently nothing tricky about this trip? Did you air down, need to move anything out of the way, etc.? You're on 21-inch wheels? How was the battery usage to/from the highway? Where did you charge: Bishop, Bridgeport, or a local L2 charging station? Thanks for the beautiful video!

I've got 20"s not 21"s. Yup, aired down ~25psi.
Battery loss is very minimal, maybe 15 miles worth? I have an external battery I use at camp so I don't have to run the inverter in the truck for fridge etc. I'll post a video about that in the near future as there's a lot of details I have worked out here.

I did take a chunk out of my sidewall as well as another gash in my front right tire. Either happened on this trail or a different trail from earlier in the day.

I drove up from San Diego for a multi day trip. Charged at RAN in Inyokern, then Bishop, then went up to Bridgeport and topped off there as we started at some trails and hot springs nearby.

From Bridgeport south you are basically heading down hill the whole way, so range is absolutely not an issue, after hitting multiple trails and driving around to hot springs I got back to Bishop with more than 50% left iirc.

Nice vid and adventure. I did the Laurel Lakes route several years ago in the E350 Sportsmobile I had at the time. The sketchiest part was that last turn before Laurel Lake as the turning radius on 4x4 Quigley conversions is horrible, so had to make like a 15 point turn on that off-camber, super narrow section where you're basically just looking over the hood straight down the 500' steep scree field, puckered and relying on a spotter telling me how far I can go. The lower section of that road looks worse and more washed out now from your video, but still seems like it would be a breeze in the R1T.

Same exact thing happened to my buddy with his 4W Camper on that trail. I was fine with my BFGKO2's.

Yeah that last switchback is tight. My buddy in the Raptor had to take a few cuts at it, the Rivian with the cameras and pretty good turning circle made quick work of it.

I can't wait to burn these Pirellis out and swap them for some BFGs. Had them on my previous 4Runner and they were flawless. Sidewall damage has been my biggest worry with these tires and it still remains.

Rivian says not to go below 31 psi with the 20s. Not sure if its conservative or what, but its in the manual apparently.

It’s a beautiful trip. This was a month ago, September 9th
Wow big patch of snow for Sept 9th. IIRC that lake is at about 10,000’. Was it cold up there? Campable that time of year? (looks like you camped at much lower elevation near the trailhead where I bet night time and morning temps were much more pleasant)
