Has anyone seen more news on this?!? Posted by @rivianupdates

A few NEW Rivian patents became public this morning, including a Rivian connected dog collar!
This collar communicates with the vehicle to adjust airflow based on your dog’s location in the cabin and can even lower the vehicle so it's easier for your dog to get in. This collar can also act as a tracker, helping you locate your dog if they wander off.
It seems that the vehicle’s UI can even suggest dog parks and pet friendly places when your dogs collar is sensed onboard.
As someone who works with dogs every day and has two of my own, I would love this in my R1T. BUT it's just a patent so we can only hope.

I am finding pet mode a little lacking from the point of air movement/fan even when it reaches temp… I tried doing g show and tell mode and this seems better for air movement.
hoping for an option to turn fan up higher in future software updates.

Others have asked for the same thing. I actually haven't used pet mode yet, but IMO it should be fully customizable. There are so many climates across North America.

Fan speed isn’t adjustable it is fixed…I have an English bulldog and he goes lots of places with us. Generally I throw a cover over the second row but the third row I keep folded down and it gets warm back there when he is back there.

I use pet mode with no pet often just as a means of keeping the cabin cool in the insane Texas heat. It works better for me than tripping the AC remotely through the app, which disables after 15-20 mins or so, at least until they fix that.

Yep. Breeds like bulldogs, pugs, etc can overheat more easily than other dogs. All the more reason they should leave it up to each owner.

I like dogs, but will never understand people who center their lives around them and take them everywhere.
Sort of how I feel about children. I kid, I kid. (haha)

Lol, I love my kids but feel the same way about them too. They get to tag along and be part of Mom and Dad's life (we have fun) until they're old enough to make a life of their own. They each get an extracurricular that we'll accommodate.

Lots of it has to do when they are puppies and socializing. I used to do bullmastiff’s as I am getting older went smaller, I also work with a rescue doing transportation. Saturdays 7am I go to the farmers market before people are out. I am not one who takes their dog all over the place and lets it act like a fool like some labradoodles I have seen. I have a friend who works with pit bulls and helps rehab them from bad owners….
