I just wish they had a setting that you could chose "low" or "lowest" - my wife recently had knee replacement, and needs it on "lowest" to get in and out for the time being. Even "low" isn't quite enough.

Is this update actually released? Seems like there are a lot of useful things especially driver+. I seem to have not been called upon if it has

Could take up to 10 days, but most likely there will be a second release anyway given the bugs in the first.

When my truck gets here, this option is going to make it really difficult to get the R1T truck keys pried away from my wife.

Kneel mode is a hack or rather an over engineered solution to the problem. Am I going to wait each time for it to lower to open the door and get down? What about wear and tear on the air suspension?
Rivian, just give a way to attach running boards if you don’t want to offer it yourself.

Most vehicles with air suspension have similar functionality.

wear and tear from this is no different than regular use.

Trying to understand that. Do you mean that the suspension working extra say 8 times a day to either lift the vehicle or drop it is not going to cause significant additional wear and tear? Air suspensions are anyway notorious for breaking down after a while.

Iits not going from full height to lowest an extra 8 or whatever times. It’s dropping a couple inches.

given that it’s always moving, it’s not an appreciable amount of extra movement compared to regular driving.

I'd imagine this rollout has been expedited because of the Halloween weekend easter egg they've included. If they push the rollout beyond this week then people will miss out on whatever they teased for this weekend.

It lowers very quickly. Unless you either unbuckle your seatbelt before you put it in park or you are the type of person who puts it into park after opening your door, you aren't too likely to interrupt it.

The first thing I do is put the truck in park when I stop. By the time I remove my seatbelt and reach for the handle it's already down.
