Pretty excited for this new energy app. And the faster charging for my max pack!

Jumped in my car just now and saw this little note. Didn’t realize it gave download stats!

I have been installed for about an hour. Music sounds different..... Not sure if it's worse or better, but different. Energy app is cool. Display changes on driver screen are negligible.

Oh wow.. this update installed CarPlay.. how interesting!!!

I am convinced that most of the people on Rivian's software team don't drive an EV.

This new drive energy graph is totally useless. Unless you are driving exactly 60mph, no one cares how much energy you are using per minute. The X axis needs to be distance, not time.

Dear Rivian Software Team,

The only time we need to think about the energy consumption is when we are on a road trip and are trying to figure out if we have enough charge to get to the next charger. If the charger is 200 miles away, help me figure out if I am going to make it, or if I need to make an alternative plan.

If for example there were rated miles consumed on the Y axis and actual miles driven on the Y, when I see I am using 1.5 rated miles to travel one actual mile I can easily multiply the distance to the charger by 1.5 and know if the guage says I have that much then I am going to make it.

It doesn't have to be exactly that graph, but it should help me answer that question. What were you thinking anyone was going to do with kwh per minute?

Also if you really want to show us the historical power, could you at least use a sane unit?. What were you thinking when you chose kWh/min over the much simpler and more standard unit of kW?

That’s fair. The hover mode isn’t for everyone.

I updated last night. Not enabling MFA in the app. Will check out the rest later today.

When navigating to a destination, does anything show you SOC percentage on arrival? Or still rated range in miles?

Was there a change in version numbers? Mine updated to 2025.18.30 last night. Not 2025.18.1
