XM options?

I'm good with that if it was only sold on the left coast... but since there are 49 other states, some considerations should have been made.

That was the gist of the jibe, it’s like the product owners’ never though outside the “box” that is CA.

Not sure why you need an XM tuner at all. If you have XM for a car already, then you should have streaming included. If so, then you can stream XM through the app and BT in the car. I actually love Spotify as the main in my R1S because I simply logged in on Day 1 and all my playlists are now available. That said, I do like XM and stream it through BT. The app is cool too because you can set up all your same favorite stations and access them in the app on a favorites tab. All in all super simple.

Because that actually sucks. You hop in the car and start driving in your cellular poor area and then you remember you want to listen to XM. So you fumble with your phone while driving, looking up at the road and down at the phone while unlocking the phone, selecting the XM app. No, not the Notepad app, swipe up to get rid of that app, swerve to miss that tree, calm your heartbeat for a couple of minutes, try again, get the XM app working, hope the phone won't go into sleep mode randomly, and get flustered when cell coverage drops. Then a call comes in, which does mute the XM, but it won't auto unmute when the call is complete. So, back to fumbling.

Whereas with an XM receiver, it just turns on every time you get into the car automatically.
