All of this these problems seem normal to me for a new company.

Dealers get paid to repair newly purchased vehicles and provide an inventory buffer. Taking over that function, and capturing that margin, is non-trivial.

Totally agree. My original post was purely meant as a point of curiosity. If anything, I think it's a positive that they seem to be holding trucks back until they are confident thst they are ready to ship. Hopefully that ends up with significantly fewer post delivery issues than they had at the end of March.

I drove by the Bellevue service center yesterday and there had been some movement of trucks in the last week, but most of the same trucks were still there. I'm assuming they're just taking their time to get them where they want them.

Guides also appear to be reaching out (or at least getting assigned) to R1S preorders for the first time. There might be a less-than-negligible pause as Rivian prepares to start spitting out R1Ses.

Right. That the guides are reaching out to R1S but seemingly not R1T pre-orders is the thing that has me a little confused since they have a lot of R1Ts to deliver still. Oh well. We will see.
