Perhaps an out of balance fan? My R1T DM did this once after a few hours on a dusty forest road. Not sure if it fixed it but after a trip through a car wash it has not come back.

I think it was around 50 degrees, so not particularly cold. I'll keep an eye on the temp moving forward to see if it coincides with the noise.

Hmmm. Yeah. I've gotten it when cold before, but usually below 40.

I have a new one, unfortunately. Service center can’t replicate it or figure out where it’s coming from.
