I'll be wrapping my R1S in 3m M22 Deep matte black, and having it ceramic coated. Can't wait!

OK, all this wrap conversation motivated me to check out different wrap options. A thought and question for the group.

As I was researching different options I came across "wood grained" wraps from Rvinyl:

Do you suppose it would be possible to wrap the Rivian wood trim against the front dash console in a different color? I like the black interior but really don't like the black pho wood trim.

The wood trim isn't faux, it's real Ash wood.

No real idea yet, but I'm thinking with the ceramic coating about 4-5k

It's real in the Adventure trim. It's not real in the Explore trim, afaik.

Anything is possible. I don't think it would look good, however.

Right. I don't think it even pretends to be wood in the Explore, though. Just "Matte black interior finishes".

Based on the web site, it is just a matte black interior finishes not simulated wood. In the renderings it looks more like a plastic or similar material and does not change when you choose different seat color.

I bought a similar kit for one of my previous cars, When I received it it was poor quality and I ended up not using it. This product might be much better but I wouldn't recommend putting vinyl stickers over real wood in a premium interior. I think it would even cheapen the explore trim.

Only vinyl I want is a battery sticker for the underside like this. Then when Im off camber and have a tire in the air off-road you will see it.
