I am still waiting on getting a VIN assigned to start the 8 step process. Had a March/April delivery window, but looks like we are going to miss that. Has anyone been to the service center lately?

I haven't as of yet made it to the service center.. and my first drive got pushed back a week.. but on the plus side I was assigned a guide and had the initial call and signed the PBA. My delivery window is July-Sept.. so maybe I'll get lucky and get it early?

I went by the service center today. There were ~25 trucks sitting out in front of the building in various stages of being prepped for delivery. ~1/3 of them had Forest edge interior and 2/3 black mountain.

So I popped by and saw about 15 outside. Lots of green ones. They were also unloading a couple more while I was there. I have a blue on reserve but after seeing the green.. I could also do that.

They had every exterior color except compass yellow outside when I was there.

FYI since this might matter to UT folks, the EA station in Evanston, WY is now open. No coverage on the rest of I-80 thru WY yet, but it’s coming.

Which one of you has been driving around my hood recently?

Over the last 24 hours, I’ve seen midnight, launch green (multiple times—lives near me), El Cap, and Rivian blue R1Ts. Starting to look common around SLC!

Well happy day! I got my purchase email this evening. Only took an hour but it's all done now. The wife and I couldn't be more excited. Last 4 of the VIN are 6589 which I think makes it a pretty new build compared to others I've seen. Curious what the turn around time from when the steps are complete to scheduling the delivery.

I might be the El Cap.

There was an El Cap parked 3 doors down from my house tonight. I really wanted to go introduce myself.

My truck did get delivered on the 8th and it’s awesome! The only hiccup is that the front trunk doesn’t power close. I have to manually close it. Rivian has a service ticket to get it fixed. We will see how smooth this fix goes. So far no call to schedule the repair. They identified the issue and told me about it before I took delivery of it.

It seemed a little surreal as I watched it drive up the street and pull into my driveway. While everyone else in my family had seen a rivian in the wild I had not. Now to figure out what sign to flash to fellow rivian drivers…..
