Yep. I updated last night and noticed it right away.On my Gen1 I noticed that this update brings back the radiator grill shutters opening (and creaking) on wake. Is anyone else seeing this behavior again?

Hmm, I will have to check this out. I just got our Gen1 and only have a Gen2 to compare it to. I never even knew this was a thing until I watched that MT 40k mile review video the other day. I haven't noticed it, but I'll look out for it. You can hear it inside the cabin?Yep. I updated last night and noticed it right away.
Curious if this is a thing for gen 2 as well. I've not heard a peep from mine. Literally didn't know they existedHmm, I will have to check this out. Rivian realized the noise issues during Gen 1 production and did an OTA to "hide" it. It's likely that the hardware was redesigned for Gen 2.Curious if this is a thing for gen 2 as well. I've not heard a peep from mine. Literally didn't know they existed
I think that was mentioned in C&D’s 40k mile review. Something about Rivian changing it to open not on wake but once you’ve already entered and start driving. Or not until you’ve locked and walked away.Rivian realized the noise issues during Gen 1 production and did an OTA to "hide" it. It's likely that the hardware was redesigned for Gen 2.
Not onceAnyone notice for the Gen1 R1T a ton of false vehicle alarms? I frequently set off the alarm when opening the Gear Tunnel door by pressing the unlock button on the bed. If I don't double check the door handles have unlocked and popped out, the alarm goes off as soon as I pull the Gear Tunnel door open.
Seems odd to me that if the Gear Tunnel release door "sees" the PAAK to allow the button to operate, that should be enough to unlock the rest of the vehicle, and subsequently disable the alarm when I open the Gear Tunnel door...
I can’t customize mine. The scroll doesn’t do anything and defaults to regular. Am I doing something wrong ??I ended up using "customize" to prevent my drivers side mirror from dipping, since I also use it to guage the distance from garage door frame. It is nice to even have the option though, and users can turn it on or off, and adjust each side independently, so I think Rivian did this one right.
Reset. Then in the same place in vehicle settings where you toggle on/off the mirror tilt feature, there is a "CUSTOMIZE" button, under feature description and to the left of the on/off toggle. Tap that, read and follow on-screen instructions—to adjust how far in each direction you want each mirror to tilt when you shift to reverse.I can’t customize mine. I agree, very, very tempting, but $5K is too much. I'd probably bite in the $3-$3.5K rangeDang 5k for the upgrade.. Not much incentive for people to do it, since they could have done that from the get-go. I really thought it would have been cheaper, maybe even for a limited time offer, make it like 3k for a month or so, so it'll make people purchase it because it would be a good deal. At 5k, I don't think many will end up doing it. Hopefully end of quarter will have better deals for it.
A subscription service would be a cool option. have a few months of fun, then go back to stock. Not saying it would be permanent, but a limited time offer to those who can upgrade now, give them a window of like 30 days, at a lower price. Otherwise, price goes back to 5k after that 30 day window.
Ehhh.. I’d MAYBE do it for $1K. Not a very useful upgrade tbh.I agree, very, very tempting, but $5K is too much. I'd probably bite in the $3-$3.5K range
I still haven't received the update.
I'm wondering if this is a Canada thing, or there just something wrong with either my R1S or my iPhone app.
It's pretty much the first option:
Sorry, I didn't have a photo that I took myself, so I borrowed the image from Jose's RivianTrackr Video![]()
That 20" all season has the 275/60R20 All-Seasons on it.
Select that and then the next screen allows you to select your tire (and it'll confirm at the top what profile spec you've selected):
(Note again, this is not my screenshot--I borrowed from Jose, and I hope he's cool with it; so in this case, he isn't in the same menu you will be, but your workflow is the same insofar as you can choose aftermarket tires and select the type):![]()
As anyone else is going through this process, it may be helpful to get some screenshots for the forums![]()
