What do you want us to tell you? I wouldn't drive a Lyriq, because it's too small. I would consider a Vistiq, but no frunk is a huge miss, along with how much slower it is than my tri, not to mention the inferior software. I drive a Rivian because there is nothing else I like more. If that's not true for you, and you can afford to make the change, then change.

My wife is leasing a '24 Lyriq right meow.
We are 12 months in and 12 months to go.

It's overall a great car.
They definitely had some software issues, but they are rolling out updates and OTA updates (the delivery of) have been smooth out.

Going from an R1T to the Lyriq ... it's a completely different experience.
If you want that push button start, classic luxury car feel, and the "brand". It's a solid choice.
I would recommend getting the AWD (dual motor).

The super cruise feature is great! Hands free driving and auto lane changing was a shock to our systems on our way back from picking it up.

The major downsides:
1) dealing with the dealership
2) dealing with the service department in the dealership

That XP alone - I will never buy another car from a dealership (net-new). Direct to consumer model only for me.

IMO - the R1T is a much better vehicle. If it's a size thing, consider the optiq instead.

I've been thinking of trading my Rivian R1T for a Cadillac Lyriq or Optiq. Is that a bad idea? Maybe 9 service events are my limit. Cadillacs are so nice and the Lyriq has gotten great reviews from just about every reviewer.
If you are even considering a Caddy EV, then an R1 was never the right vehicle for you.

People think I'm whiny because of 9 service events. I don't really get that. Is that normal for cars now? Anyway, I was after Information and I got it. Thanks. I'm 73 and Cadillac used to be a big deal. I've been thinking of driving a Cadillac Lyriq or Optiq at a dealer. I know that if I sold or traded in my Rivian, I'd have to deal with tens of thousands of dollars of depreciation. The Rivian R1T is a great car for running errands. You've got the bed when you need it and it's very comfortable. It's hard to park. I have to go back and forth to get positioned in a parking space right. I probably won't be changing. I really don't want to give up my Rivian. Sometimes you want a smaller car for driving in the city. It's too bad I can't afford both.
