Time from confirmation to delivery - R1S

I just confirmed my R1S order. After I confirmed, I asked my guide how long it would be before I should expect delivery (and come up with almost $80k). The guide wasn't helpful. Has anyone in the puget sound area recently confirmed? If so, how long was it between confirmation and delivery? Thank you.

I confirmed my 3rd Rivian (2nd R1T) on 22 September and it will be arriving this Friday, 6 October. Super excited

From recollection I believe its normally 3 weeks to possibly months.

The confirm delivery doesn't really do much. They will give you Store access to R1S and R1T models when you get close. I'm in an October delivery and they gave me store access in last part of Sept to all available unsold vehicles, but no dual motor models, only Quad and dual Motor performance models. The dual motor performance model are almost as expansive as the quad motor ones. They have the worse commo system ever! Almost as bad as buying a car off a dealer lot.

Took delivery of an R1S a week ago. Two weeks between selecting from store and delivery.

I just confirmed my R1S from the R1 Shop & got a VIN. The guide says the R1S is still in IL being loaded onto transport & to expect it to arrive in Bellevue in 4-8 weeks. I sure hope it is closer to 4! Curious if anyone here was, or is, in a similar situation?

08.19.2023: Received the VIN
08.22.2023: "Your R1 is on its way from IL..." - Bellevue Service Center
09.08.2023: "Your R1 has arrived in Bellevue" - Bellevue Service Center
09.14.2023: Picked up

Time from Selection to Delivery less than 4 weeks. Hope that helps.

amazing! Thanks for the insight- That gives me hope. I’m stoked to get the S. We have a Polestar 2 now, and the S will make us a full EV household… I’m looking forward to never going to a gas station ever again

Fwiw - I got notice of delivery exactly 1 week after confirmation.

Update :
10/2 - Selected my R1S from the shop.
10/13 - Get a text from the SC that my R1S is “on its way” from IL to Bellevue, WA
10/27 - Get a text from the SC to schedule a pickup appointment on 11/3 or 11/4.

….one more week till I’m in my R1S!
