So for the third time in eight months, my 2025 R1T got loaded on a tow truck today. The dreaded "critical battery issue" warning was beeping away this morning before the vehicle completely died. No screens, not even door opening, so had to use the emergency handle to get myself out of the car. So, yes, venting here. First time was the 12-v battery; second time was a short in the air compressor; and this third time, who knows? I'm now reluctant to drive the thing very far from home, completely negating Rivian's "adventure" ethic. Am seriously considering bailing from the lease and finding alternatives. Bah humbug!

Sorry to read about your troubles. It sucks.

It all depends on if your are glass half full or empty person. Given the issues and repairs, one might say that major issues are behind you and addressed. OTOH, you might think that its a lemon and need to dump before something else goes wrong.

I would guess that majority of people would dump the vehicle though....

My Rivian was in service center for various issues for 50+ days in 18 months.

I was stranded in the middle of nowhere once. Yes, once you loose the trust and second guess when the car will break down its not worth it anymore.

Rivian did a buyback.

I've had 3 family vacations ruined because my R1Ts kept malfunctioning. I'm a very expensive guinea pig. What did Rivian offer as a "make-good" for 3 years of misery? A $250 credit back to my AMEX or $500 gift card to Rivian store. The car cost $120K.
