That was quick! Rear ended a month in

Ouch. I guess I'm lucky on the waiting front. I dropped it off the day after Thanksgiving (my appointment was for the next Monday) and picking it up today. I suspect that it was only the bumper that needed replacement but I'll no for sure later. When I first brought it in for the estimate they told me they have about a three day turnaround for parts from Rivian.
But I hear you on the patience. Definitely missing the Rivian this past week plus.

Update:
Went to pick up the car today. Looks like they had to replace one parking sensor, the bumper assembly, and some touch up on the liftgate. No structural damage. Total bill was about $5600, of which about 40% was labor based on a quick glance at the numbers. Not sure how that affects value in terms of of it's worth filing a diminished value claim.
I confirmed on pick up that for the most part they're getting parts from Rivian in about 3 days, and seeing about a week and a half turnaround time for repairs. Slower than a Honda, but much faster than for Teslas. He said the fact that we're NY metro probably accounts for the difference that some people have posted regarding their repair times, in that in some smaller markets they might have to keep the car in the shop for longer. Obviously the types of repairs have a bearing, but he said that there wasn't too much of a difference overall.

The true turnaround time for parts from Rivian is months (MONTHS!) not days. I’ve been waiting for two passenger side doors since October 2024. Putting the year there just in case my wait turns into years. If I had known about how bad this was going to be, I wouldn’t have bought the car. New buyers ought to beware. Rivian has seriously few spare parts.

So my repair at the body shop (rear bumper and parking sensor) took just over a week from when I dripped it off.
In contrast, I had a few minor issues that I brought up after delivery (some trim, the driver door not properly aligned causing the latch to dent and scrape, and muffled voice on phone calls). My SC appointment was this past Monday (after waiting nearly two months). When I dropped it off they seemed to think I'd have it back by the beginning of this week. Now they say they hope to be able to diagnose it by the middle of the week. So I don't really know what that means in turns of part availability. Was the body shop just lucky, or is part availability not the bottleneck at the SC? I hope to get some more info on Monday and will report back here.

Very hard to see because the damage was pretty minimal (to my car), but here's at the scene and then a couple of later pics showing the scratches underneath (also hard to see due to the reflection).
The last pic is the other guy's car.
