The video is real and you have done nothing to prove it’s not. I’m really sorry it’s so hard for you to admit that Tesla has lied to you about the capabilities of their cars.

Maybe they could clear up the confusion and release the raw data they have collected from all those miles? ?

The reason they did not use FSD is for the simple fact that the lidar company is demonstrating an emergency braking system and not a self driving one.

The issue is that tesla doesn't apply emergency braking in most scenarios because that is unsafe and causes more accidents than it prevents.

FSD will take the safer approach and go around and obstacle but that makes the lidar system look inferior because that is not the point of the test

If you look at the following shot he shows a low resolution and cropped in video because it is hiding the fact that autopilot is not on. You can't enable autopilot driving in the center of the road like that. In fact tesla throws all kinds of warnings when you drive like that

In order to drive like he did in that test he would have specifically had to manually drive AND disable lane departure warning which is a one-time temporary disable of the system

Nah. It’s failure of the system to do what it’s claimed to do that’s killing people. When an ADAS system purposely crashes into stuff, that’s the system’s fault. Tesla drivers using FSD are beta-testing crash test dummies. Percentages of crashes may be low, but they’re not zero.

I think the placement of the camera(s) compared to the location of human eyes may be a problem in real world use of these systems.

Basically, being so close to the windshield means that a relatively small blockage when viewed as a seated human driver (bug guts, tiny chip in glass, bird poop, bit of ice, etc.) can block a relatively large portion of the camera’s field of view. It’s like how a fingerprint-sized smudge on your windshield causes almost no issues seeing but the same size smudge on sunglasses is a major factor.

How do these systems deal with this since it must be a known issue?

Because rivian's adas system shuts off too often for someone to die. Tesla's adas system stays on for 100s of miles which is why people abuse it

If it's so easy to find it would be easy for you to post, but just like the other Teslastans on here there is NO proof and you're just talking out of your ass. Making a post that took a couple minutes to tell me that it would only take me 5 minutes to find this information proves you are lying. Nice try though.
