So scuffed my A pillar on the drivers side of my R1T. I have a replacement but can’t seem to pop off the old one. Feels like it’s attached with something that might break. Has anyone removed the A pillar trim?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are talking about the A pillars where the windshield airbags sit, I have taken them off to remove the dashboard. I was trying to fix the rattle after Rivian service kept saying it was fixed but doing nothing. There are two clips that hold it in pretty tightly. I had to use a lot pressure to pop them off one at a time. I would say the top one is maybe 6 inches down from the top of the trim piece and the second one is about 6 inches below that. They are both on the inside of the trim, closer to the windshield. You can actually see them if you bend your way into it by flexing the sides. Once in there, being extremely careful, you can lightly push the airbag with your finger to get a look at them. Once you see then, you will know which way to pull. In short, you would need to pull at a 45 degree angle away from the windshield toward the back. Basically, pull toward the opposite back corner of your Rivian. So if you’re pulling the front right one off, pull toward the rear left corner. Easiest is to just bend the edges of the trim to see the two points and you will see what I mean. Just apply steady pressure and it will pop one at a time. First the top, then the bottom. Good luck.

I haven't removed these, but adding that the rear view mirror cover took a ridiculous amount of effort to remove, using a couple of panel tools.

This did the trick! Sadly, that top clip with the piece that makes it so it doesn’t fly in your face when the bag deploys is a pain to get off. Gave up for now and will try again soon! Thanks for the help!
