Swapping between the 22” and 20” wheels

I’m planning to get winter tires for my 2024 Rivian R1S. Right now, I have 22” all-season tires that I’ll keep for the summer, but for winter I’m looking to switch to 20” tires.


My question is — when swapping between the 22” and 20” wheels, is it just a simple tire swap, or do I need to do wheel alignment or balancing each time?


I also noticed there’s a calibration setting in the vehicle. Can someone confirm if that handles everything, or is there more to it?

No balance or alignment required. Just pick the right choice in the tire swap menu so the speedo is correct and off you go. Owners manual page 391 for 2024 models 423 (25-26 model years).

Did this yesterday... 22s to 20s! Very simple settings adjustment. After completion, the vehicle seemed to go through an entire reset like during a software update. It even said something along the lines of "software update complete" when done. Came back online showing new wheel and tire configuration, easy peasy
