suction cup phone mount on the vegan leather?

Good evening

I believe I have asked this before, but didnt get a lot of answers so figured I would put it in it's own post. For a phone mount, I dont think I want to use the 3m VHB as I have heard it may damage the vegan leather on top of the dash.

1). What about those suction cup mounts? They usually come with a pad for mounting on the dash. Will it leave any discoloration or indentation from the suction?

suction cup mounts are usually meant for the windshield, not the dash.

yeah... i had it on my tesla in the corner on left side. i may do the same with the Rivian. Just hoping to get something where it would be easier to hide the cable to charge.
