Spotify quality with mobile hotspot

I just hooked up my car's Spotify to the Spotify on my cell phone's
T-Mobile hotspot. It works, but the quality doesn't seam as good. What have others found?
Also how do we get updates if we don't have Connect+?

Same quality for me. Double check you quality settings in the app.

And we get updates the exact same way we used to. We just aren't in the 'priority' ring.

Got an annoying problem without Connect+.

On 35.01 SW, my Gen 1 R1S sometimes got disconnected from my phone's hotspot while using built-in music apps, and the pop-up to learn more about Connect+ showed up.

When that happened, music stopped and I can't find a way to reconnect to my hotspot while driving.
Had to switch gear to "Park" and then connect.
