Apologies in advance if this is really obvious, but I have an aftermarket charging pad that requires the two USBC ports in the console. I would also like a drive cam HD to connect there. We use both charging pads regularly. So, is there an easy way to split one USBC port into two to power both pads, even if it lowers the deliverable power?

I tried this, but it didn't work.

Any guidance appreciated.

Cheers.

Did you use the splitter for both charging pad leads only, or were you trying to use the splitter for one charging pad lead and DriveCam?

The first should work, in theory. I’d confirm with other household devices that your splitter actually works. Plug it into a USB-C power brick and try powering two USB-C devices.

Get a power retrofit kit so you can run the charger USBs off of the factory wireless charger harness rather than taking up the USB ports in your console.

There are a few on the market. Here is one option:

Yes. I purchased this USB-C power splitter from Alldock. Works perfectly for two puck charging on my Adventure Mat and frees up the other for DriveCam. It ships from Australia so will take 10-13 days. Not sure why these aren’t readily available in the US, but I’m thinking there must be some reg. Recommend.

it seems like many on Amazon only have one cord power and the other data only.

Thank you all. The Alldock referenced by @COdogman claims to be the only option "in the world" to solve this problem. Looking over the suggestions, I ordered the Adventure High Tech suggested by @CommodoreAmiga as I already have the Adventure Mat. The price between the two wasn't so much with shipping so freeing up both console USBs is a no-brainer. Again, appreciate the consults.

Does anybody have a solution that uses the factory harness under the wireless charger to connect a charger to that supports power delivery or Qualcomm which charge? I don't want a new wireless mat or even use the wireless charger.

Yeah, sh1t went crazy once drive cam showed up.

I got a splitter that worked on Amazon, but it turns the charging pad into a “charge maintainer pad” because the split power is so weak. So I’m back down to one puck.

Dang, out of stock. I’m buying one of those power kits linked from Adventure High Tech the moment they are back in stock. Looks very well done to me.

Maybe you could just harvest the converter from the AHT offer & lose the mounting plate?

Thats so weird. I also got the Alldock plugging in two of the Apple MagSafe pucks and I got no power. I tried both UsbC ports and trying plugging in both ways in case of a polarity issue but no dice, no power. Not sure why it would not work for me.

So apparently USB C power cannot be split, or as the OP mentioned they do not sell these splitters in the US. But, you can split USB C to to 2 USB B powered connectors. I used this amazon product and it worked, know that the wattage is going to be around 5-7 per pad (so slower charging). It will not work with Apple MagSafe as those have some sort of power restriction built into each pad, if it doesnt get enough power they won't start charging, the JSUAX pads worked fine with this solution.

Though, as others have mentioned the AdventureHighTech solution is likely the best long term.

I ordered the same Alldock splitter from Australia that was mentioned as working, but I couldn’t get it to work with my two Apple Magsafe pucks.

Good point. I have the JSUAX and it worked fine with those pucks.
