I'd like to preface this by saying I'm clearly a Rivian fan and the following is more observational.

My buddy owns a Tesla model 3 & Y, and I've had the opportunity to ride in both numerous times and drive them prior to picking up my R1T. So naturally we've been comparing the two brands. Something we've both noticed is the difference in the data that is displayed on both the map and on the visualizer screen behind the steering wheel. Things like traffic lights or stop signs or speed limit signs seem to be absent, but it's my understanding that Mapbox actually has that data, so was it a strategic decision to not include it on the map? It does Rivian have a plan to add that at a later date?

We also noticed, Tesla does a better job at visualizing other vehicles/objects around the car. Things like other vehicles using turn signals or show stop signs, etc. This feels like kind of a dumb thing to highlight, but at the same time, it's something that stood out to both of us and my Wife, and now that I've seen that, it's more noticeable and makes it feel slightly less polished.

I'm sure the obvious reason is likely to be that Tesla has had a longer amount of time/money to develop this, so it's just a more mature codebase, but I think it'd be nice to have that added at some point.

Lastly, I get that Driver+ isn't available on an roads, but does anyone know why the adaptive cruise is restricted too? There are several roads in my area where I can't use either one and it seems a bit silly to not show the use of the regular cruise.

Thoughts?

The traffic animations on my steering wheel screen look like a kindergartner drew them lol.

Adaptive Cruise Control isn't limited to certain roads - it's always available. Unless you're in "Rear Accessory Mode" or "Tow Mode".

And "Driver+" isn't limited either. But if by that you mean "Highway Assist", then yes, HWA is limited to ... (wait for it) ... highways. And only "select" highways at that.

That's what I thought; however, there are a lot of roads around my house and work where it doesn't engage. I'll get a notification that states it isn't available for use.
