Rivian phone key - Continuous Bluetooth enables vehicle (Android app message)

I get this message with the Android app.
Just wondering if this always on message is telling me I need to give the app rights or is it just telling me what it's doing?
I guess you just have to turn off notifications?

I get the same message usually when out of range of the vehicle.

I was hoping there was a setting I was missing. It's not the end of the world, but the little notification feed is already full of all kinds of other stuff and the icon at the top of the screen. Just seems silly for it to always be there.

Also, am I missing the page where it lets you look at your charging history, information of any kind, scheduling etc. I can't even tell it to start charging?

Do you have the Rivian Wall Charger? That page lets you view charging history. If you're using the portable charger or a third party one then the app doesn't show any history.

There are no scheduling functions exposed in the app, regardless of what EVSE you use. Third party EVSEs may offer scheduling through their own apps. Rivian allows limited scheduling through the center screen in the vehicle.

That's weird, hopefully they'll add that in the future. The Tesla app had that kind of stuff.

So you're away on business or vacation and you want to make sure the trucks fully charged when you get home, there's no way for you to do that?

Seems like a way to encourage dedicated charger purchases.

You just leave it plugged in and it will be at your set SoC when you return. This will happen regardless of EVSE brand.

Not currently. Maybe in a future update.

Not currently. You can manually check the app and see you're not charging... But no push notifications.

The Bluetooth notification is how Android keeps the Bluetooth service running uninterrupted in the background (well, technically foreground with the persistent notification) so the PAAK will communicate to the truck, etc.

Just disable notifications for the "Ble service channel" under the Rivian app notification settings.
