Last weekend I went camping. Purchased a good adapter (14-50 to TT30 rated for EVs) so I would take advantage of the 30A outlet. Charged the first night no issue. Charged some during the day no issue. Second night the breaker tripped at some point. Reset and charged again in the morning.

Yesterday it occurred to me, I never reduced the amperage limit in the truck like I should have. So was the R1T/mobile charger trying to pull 32A? And why didn't that blow the breaker sooner? Or did the mobile charger know I was only on 110V so all was good?
Hello, I’m new to this form and only have had my R1T for about three weeks now. But I’m a full-time RVer, all I usually do is use the cord directly to the 50 amp plug and I don’t do any changing to the amperage going in I let it do it self. I’ve had no issues in the last three weeks.

I know for a fact that if I tell my OpenEVSE it's a Level 2 charger, it doesn't matter what the input voltage actually is and it will still advertise whatever I have it set to current wise.
I used mine at a campground last week and it definitely showed L1 and had a discrete L1 current limit vs the L2 limit when I plugged into a TT30. It was slow AF for playing in Moab though. Luckily we were traveling with another RV that only needed the 30A, so I used their 50A for the rest of the trip.

maybe stating the obvious here. Many campsites have 50 amp service for the larger trailers. They cost more. Why not rent those spaces. That way you can fully charge in one night.

50 amp outlet was taken up by the RV we were with, hence the need to use the free 30amp. No need to rent another site, as the 30amp would deliver what was needed to get me back to 100% over the weekend.

Yeah, if you configure it for L1 it can't be set to 24A. Which is why I had to lie to it about L2. Probably something that could be changed in firmware now that I am thinking about it.

I did update my unit to the 4.2.x UI and 8.2.2 firmware. Not sure if that was part of it. But I was definitely L1-only and able to get 24A out of it.
