Has anyone bought a rear seat protector yet? If so, what is your experience & recommendation?

(Our dog is a 55-lb. Wirehaired Pointing Griffon who gets wet and muddy)

Thanks!

I haven't bought this yet because we don't actually have a dog at the moment (but plan to get one in a few months), but I've heard good things about this brand: https://a.co/d/009xYaBH

I also like how it has separate panels to cover the doors. Even with a well behaved and clean dog, hair, scratches, nose prints, etc can mar up the door, and a flap hanging down on the side is not sufficient IMO.

I have no idea how well this fits in R2, but it should have about 6" of clearance front-back based on your driving position. It is 1" wider than the handle-handle width, but I don't imagine that would cause a fit issue.

Thanks for sharing this suggestion. The current hammock we had been using in our R1S relies on the ceiling grab handles as a connection point for the sides. The R2 lacks those grab handles, so door mounted sides seem like they will work better. They will also make it quicker to get the dog in and out.

Ruffwear says:
"Dirtbag Seat Cover has dimensions of Width: 55 in (140 cm) and Length: 63 in (159 cm).
To determine if it fits the new Rivian R2, we recommend comparing these measurements with the rear seat dimensions."

We don't have our R2 yet -- would one of you please post these measurements with the front seat all the way back?

K9ballistics says:
"Large size back seat covers will typically fit inside sedans and small or compact SUVs. X-Large back seat covers will typically fit full-size SUVs and trucks. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide size recommendations based on the car make and model.". Not so helpful ...

Width (armrest to armrest) is 53", Depth is 28"-ish - depending on the position of the front seats.
