No, it is nicely tucked away. The port is in a little cutout so it's not protruding into the main space at all.

Thank you sir! I was told at delivery it goes in the center console and not glove box. Glove box is much better.

Smart of them to do this. Didn’t in R1 and we use right angle adapters to keep drive out of the way.

Ah, I totally glossed over you saying "console" 😆
But yeah, there are two ports in the center console storage compartment but those are for charging only (up to 60W according to a recent thread). The one in the glove box can apparently do light charging (15W I think) but is mainly reserved for Gear Guard. It's the only one with a data bus, afaik.
