That said, I do find it funny that people consider certain features missing to be "dealbreakers" when those features simply didn't exist at all a decade ago. (Dog Mode, CarPlay, etc. edit:- okay, CarPlay is *11* years old, close enough.) Hell, the truck that my Rivian replaced still had wing vent windows and AM/FM cassette. And guess what, its rear seat had no vents at all. But you know what it did have? An opening rear window. Which I opened, to get my dog air when riding in the back seat.
I was telling my wife a few days ago how much I missed floor vents. I really enjoyed using my foot to open an unfiltered air vent, no fan needed.

I remember riding in my step dad's truck with a foot pump for windshield washer fluid. He would pump water that got sucked into the side window spraying us, a poor man's AC. It felt so nice on a hot day.

No one should sit in a parked vehicle with it's windows up for long. It get hot quickly but it's crazy what this thread covered.

In my test drive the seat was noticeable on high but not anymore than a normal cars fan. I didn't notice any real noise from the front vents.

I have a Model 3 and a very hairy/warm pup, so I plug a USB fan into one of the back ports and aim directly at him in the back seat.

I also wear jeans on long trips, even in the summer, so I don't freeze while trying to keep the pup cool cause it's always more climate controlled in the front.

I'll likely do this as well in the R2.

{Pup for reference}

There are slits in the cargo area on either side that look like climate vents but aren't. What are these for? I tried looking through them on my demo drive and could see some wires inside but not much else.

Excuse me? And where is the cat love? 🐈

Just trying to add some levity to a post that is getting really serious.

By the way, Mochi, my co-pilot, roams the entire car. I can't wait to get my R2 and try out pet mode. She's ok with fresh (warm) air but says she would prefer it to be cooled.
