R1T Air Compressor Cover

Got sick of the air compressor cover not staying down after driving at interstate speeds so I gorilla glued a magnet on the inside of the cover directly over the top of the fitting.

The fitting is metal so the magnet sticks to the fitting and keeps the cover down.

Not really a permanent solution and wasn’t worth the service call, but figured it would work for now.

Dang! Mine stays down but this is such a great idea, I'll probably do mine the same this weekend. Needed some of those magnets for an unrelated project and the smallest quantity I could get was like 1,000. So I've got "a few extra" magnets to go around. ?

Rivian needs to add a latch there to keep it secure. A magnet seems like a great solution that will stand the test of time.

Smart solution, that flipping has been annoying me too. Wouldn't try it on the other side though
