R1S horn sound weak

I was curious if other owners have noticed their horn sound to be pathetic. Our R1T has a stronger more dominant sound. Our R1S sounds like a golf cart horn. Not sure it would alert anyone of a possibly hazard.

I actually thought the R1T horn was pretty quiet, although thats from hearing it from the inside, maybe the insulation is just that good.

I'm fairly sure I haven't hit the horn on my R1S yet.

We tried it while driving and couldn't really make out what it sounded like (sounded weak). Just went to the garage and tried it. Weak but sufficient (barely).

Can confirm. Just honked my R1S for the first time. Weak — was barely audible.

800+ HP. 900+ lb-ft of torque and that’s what the horn sounds like? …was my reaction. Had it all built up in my head. Wish I had not tried it in front of friends. It’s embarrassingly anemic! Just my opinion of course.

You must be super exciting to be around in real life. I will ask a question about the horn on a thread about the horn without starting my own thread if i want to. I'm going to keep it for a while longer till my truck gets built. Is that ok with you or is that not allowed?

Feel the same way; I was surprised when they told me my R1T horn was normal. Probably selected so as not to interfere with some goose migration or something

If the mods don't mind keeping threads open that are "months old", then they're still alive. But keep guessing and attempting to shoot over insults. And how is "Unrelated"?? I asked if anyone had changed out a horn on a rivian on a thread about the horn being week on the rivian. The only unrelated idea is your wisdom-filled reply to my question... so, again, has anyone changed out their horn in their rivian?
