Qmerit 12% fee???

I just paid $1300 to have a hardwired EVSE installed. (ChargePoint home flex) 60 amp circuit, no panel work, 30 feet from panel but they had to run the line through a wall.

Qmerit quoted me $2000. I don’t need any additions to my breaker box and it’s right outside the garage.

Tell them you "want to hardwire a 48A EVSE." I can't imagine any competent electrician that wouldn't know what to do with just that simple statement.

They should know you need wiring and breaker capable of at least 60A to support a 48A continuous load.

The other details will be specific to your house/situation, so they'll need to look at it to nail down the details.

Not at all, just another service they provided, this time not sure it was a good alternative with that 12% fee. But I really did save a bundle with their insurance… ?
