Fried my Lectron adapter yesterday. Plugged in and got to about 40kwh in and got a charge error. "Unplug and try again". Went to unplug and the thing was super hot. Couldn't hold onto it with my bare hands for more than a few seconds. Gave it a couple minutes and figured what the heck and plugged it back in, only to get a message that the plug is not fully plugged in, unplug and try again. So, I decided to throw it on the floorboard and do some errands with the ac on. Went back to a different charger and got the same response. Went ahead and finished off my charge with the A2Z and carried on with my day. On my drive home, I stopped at another TSC and tried again now that the thing was room temp or cooler. Still no dice. My best guess, without pulling it apart, is that it got too hot and burnt one of the thermals beyond recovery. Lectron's adapter doesn't actively throttle properly ( I knew this and figured this day would come, but I expected it to be more summertime than now ). Anyway, just words of caution.
Edit- forgot to mention - this was a recall replaced unit, just in case you were wondering.
