I refuse to believe that any 10-mile trip anywhere in the Bay Area would *EVER* take only 10 minutes.
I drive 145 miles to work on Modays and it takes 2 hours 15 minutes. If it is early early AM in the bay, yes, 10 minutes, but anytime after 5:30….hit and miss

I agree on time 230 in the afternoon in Covina going west isn't to bad. I live in Pasadena.

The 247 from Palm springs to Victorville Barstow is just a 2 lane in the middle of nowhere. The 40/58 is a freeway and you can visit Hinkley, say hi to Erin brockovich and have some water if you are thirsty. The 215/15/395 North to VV mid day is ok. I'd probably opt for that as the 5 will be rush hour.
I grew up in SoCal (glendora, LaVerne. San Dimas)….the 210 sucks as well as the 10

I live in PHX and travel to Washington and back for the summers. Avoid I-10 past Quartzite. The trip around Palm Springs and LA can take hours longer than projected due to traffic, construction, accidents weather etc. Quartzite to Needles to Barstow is best route to I-5. Easy drive, much less traffic.
They've fixed a lot of the pothole issues on I-10 now. I just drove from San Marcos CA to Prescott AZ on I-15, I-215, Hwy 60, I-10 from Beaumont thru Quartzsite, then up Hwy 60 again (to 70, to 89 and home). Literally -- we got home about 2.5 hours ago. We do this route frequently, back and forth. Went there the Friday before last. Traffic has only been bad on I-215 before getting on 60. I-15 sucks depending on time of day but we tend to be going against the traffic as we head north in the morning when everyone is going south to San Diego and visa versa when going to SD. This time it was in our Tesla. Two weeks ago we took the R1T.

We avoid going through LA area as much as possible. Our route from PHX is to go to Wickenburg to get on I-40 to Barstow, 58 to Bakersfield and Hwy 99 to the foothills along I-80. On Saturday I drove from Flagstaff to the foothills along I-80 outside Sacramento and ran into charging issues. Left with a full max pack and it got really windy coming into Kingman. Initially the Nav was taking me to Yermo Tesla SC for the first charge. It rerouted me to Najah Desert Oasis EA charger which was shutdown as they are upgrading it. Nav then routed me to Baker, CA on Kelso-Baker road with < 5% projected range on arrival. There were 2 long hills and I set the regen to high and got to Baker with 4%. EA chargers not working at Baker. Evgo had 4 chargers blocked off, 1 not working and 1 working but kept failing. Called support and they rebooted the charger to get it working. Charged enough at 38kw to limp into Yermo with 2% range. There was horrendous headwind all day long. Coming from the early days of Tesla and doing long road trips, range anxiety was minimal until yesterday. Against better judgement, I chose not to top up at Needles like we do while driving our Tesla and almost paid for it. Phew. I hope the Kia and Lucid I saw going in the other direction on Kelso-Baker road had enough charge to get to Needles.

Wow I didn't realize the big Tesla station in Baker was Tesla only.

What about US395 from Reno to Bishop then east at Big Pine to US95 in NV to Vegas. It’s a more scenic and wild (adventurous) trip with some potential charging issues if one of the charging stations is down.
