Put in my R1S Nav trip from SF Bay Area to Madison WI. Gave warning to not attempt due to range, Kind of expected this. ABRP had a route but added a day to drive, My Range anxiety is reinforced, The R1 has been a rockstar all told, 6m0/6Kmi. Any tips? Want to tote a load of stuff to Granddaughter at Wisc U.
Good luck on your trip and please let us know how it turns out. Remember, air conditioning and your speed will effect range, especially faster speeds, and use conserve mode.

@gsqrd I'm in Madison - If there's anything I can do to help (anything from charging or vehicle help to food or place to stay recommendations) don't hesitate to reach out!

Recommend having the EVgo and charge point apps on your phone. Make trip from Toledo, OH to Hilton Head, SC area. Plan your trips prior to departure and have alternatives. I75 is a main N - S travel artery and the R1T Nav was only fair.

Beware, I might just take you up on that offer! If I gather the courage, the trip would be just before WISC vet school begins,

If you are stopping for the nights probably not much different but driving straight thru it is a pretty big hit on longer drives in an EV.

My example from this year, Florida Panhandle to Southern CA is 2000 miles, in the Rivian R1S it took 39 hours driving straight thru. A couple of months later, same trip opposite direction in a Jeep GC that was getting 23 mpg with a 24 gallon tank trip took 30 hours.

Edit: Just to add, I would not hesitate to do it again in an EV. Being retired, that 9 hours is no big deal.
Guess it all depends on how long you normally take at stops in an ICE. On my first long road tip 1200 miles too about 21 hours in an EV vs. 19 hours in an ICE. Pretty much a wash to me and I felt more rested. Now if I had the dogs with me then it would have been the same amount of time.

Same. I also feel more relaxed and not as rushed. With ICE it was pump and then walk dogs, bathroom and grab some food. Now all that get done while charging so pretty much a wash or +5-10 minutes which is no biggie to us. That extra 5-10 is usually on plugshare checking out the next stop.
