New? Oh wait, this is assuming you don't already have a vehicle that has android automotive. I've been enjoying these features in my Polestar 2 for a few months now.

Remember, “android automotive” is what OEMs use for their in-dash. Currently only Polestar 2 and Volvo XC40 Recharge. “Android Auto” is the phone bridge software similar to Apple CarPlay.

my wife’s XC40 has Android Automotive and it is really nice. We just got back a few hours ago from a San Diego to Denver trip and it does a really good job of route planning and battery estimation.

New features not coming to Android Automotive Rivian.

Fixed it for you. Well, I guess you could argue the individual features might be coming, just not AA's version. They will be whatever version of them Rivian claims we'll all love so much more because they designed them.
