Just got a neo charge to safely split my Nema 14-30 dryer outlet for home vehicle charger.

I’m using a Tesla mobile charger with the Nema plug accessory. When I plug into my Model Y the Neocharge app confirms 24 amps of power drawn.

When I plug in my Rivian via Tesla tap, the Neocharge app shows 28 amps of power drawn. Rivian is set to 24 amps, and I didn’t think the Tesla Nema 14-30 connector would draw more than 24 amps? When I reduce the draw in the Rivian software to 20 amps the draw per Neocharge reduces to 24 amps.

Any idea what’s going on here?

Sounds like this is an issue with the amperage reading/display on the device. Looks like a common issue -

There's even an option to calibrate in the app, but the variance keeps changing on mine - so it still ends up wrong. Today the Tesla is showing 31 amps, but speed is unchanged on the Tesla app (still 5 kw, set to 24 amps and using the Tesla Mobile connector 14-30 dongle, which limits to 24 amps).

All my research indicates the Tesla connector with the 14-30 dongle is the best way to ensure the amps don't exceed 24. If anyone knows any different, please correct me.
