This is interesting to me and smacks of problems hitting numbers. For the Ts it was very clear ONLY LE preorders could see LE configs in the Shop. Only reason Rivian would open up LE Ss to anyone would be to try and move vehicles quicker.
Pretty sure out of spec Kyle picked up an LE R1T from the shop and he could not have had an LE reservation.

That was the YouTube hookup.

When I had Shop access for the T it was made extremely clear to me by multiple Guides I would not be getting access to LEs even though my reservation dated to when LEs were still available to configure (I was originally a Max pack configuration).

I think I look at this a little differently. I think Rivian wants to move out the older reservation holders and maybe they learned from the T shop that it is just easier to give full access to get those pre-March price holders out of the queue.

I know there seems to still be some older reservation holders out there without access, and I can’t really explain that with any logical explanations.

That makes sense. Another possible explanation is that there was a longer wait for the R1S since they focused on R1T first. As a result, there were more cancellations and switches to R1T leading to some extra's.

I use ABRP for the route and chargers. I would then search for Electrify America and the city in the Rivian navigation and select it. I did it for the one Charge Point I used as well. I charged 34 times on the trip, only 1 was not an EA.
How accurate is ABRP with the current profiles? Any tweaks for better accuracy?

I set my watts per mile at 413 @65 mph and leaving state of charge at 90% in the app, selected the R1S and it worked well for me.

I was not charging to 90% I just set it that high for the extra range if it needed to stretch some of the legs. It was pretty good at saying the required charge per stop and range when getting there.

I typically charged about 5% over what it said for a buffer. It never left me short on 34 stops on my trip.

Edit: One more thing, I was using conserve most of the time on the highway.

Finally arrived! Got the 8 steps 3/20/2023 and picked up the R1S today at 130pm. 19 days total from Normal, IL to SSF sc including prep time. Long time waiting but very happy with the end result. Wife says she loves her car.

Rivian R1T R1S R1S Shop access live with lots of inventory! 7014487E-A308-4E7D-AE8C-C282BD36F8C8

Black mountain interior, no other options.
Godddddamn that’s my exact config. Wish the system was smart enough to notify you of an exact shop match or something. Congrats to you though!

Dang, sorry man, I wish you the best of luck in the shop. My first preference was that config with the 20” AT’s but I’m fine with the 21’s for some more range. I am concerned with tire availability for winter tires and if I get a flat on a road trip. What are your thoughts on the 21’s? Was it mostly range?

also regarding forest green in the shop, most of them have been OC interior lately….

We should have a thread named “Guess the guide’s name” ?
Mine doesn’t want to give us shop access claiming that it’s only available to LE reservation holders - which is a stupid logic since some LE reservation holders have been waiting for much less time than we have.
Hint: our guide’s name starts with A.
Just the company line....

What's a guide? Is that like a unicorn? It might be nice to have one of those.

Yes, I know, I'm a somewhat late reservation, so I'm not really upset, just teasing wishfully.

Yeah 21s for range. Don’t need snow tires now and when I do, I’ll buy rims and nokian hakkas separately.
